It's good to see people out in town, going to pubs and restaurants. For some children, not all, going back to school will be a relief. And it's healthy to see that pools and gyms are now generally open. Higher education will be welcoming new students and classes will resume, some online but others face-to-face. International students are back in the UK, quarantining before classes start.
It all looks like things are heading back to normal. But the Coronavirus hasn't gone away. Some towns have been pushed back into local lockdowns. There are still deaths and reinfections. Without a vaccine, we now have to face the complications of social distancing, disinfections, track and trace and self-isolation.
Maybe it's time for a national (international?) discussion on how the Covid world should look? How can we reorganise our society to allow socialising without spreading the virus?
What will the rest of 2020 look like after the turmoil of the spring?
