There are a lot of places to go to around the Lake District and most of them have paths and routes to follow. Usually, springtime sees thousands of visitors to the English Lakes.
But most have been silent and empty recently.
With Covid-19 there are have been few visitors to the Lakes as we have all been through the lockdown. This was necessary but unseen by any of us before.
But now that is easing. People can meet up and travel. Will they flock to Cumbria, a place with few large hospitals. Not enough facilities if there is a second peak of infection?
Many of us feel that it is too soon for holidays. Some believe the lockdown started too late and has ended too early.
That perhaps business interests have been put ahead of lives.
Perhaps.
