Fade Out

Autumn leaves in the breeze, autumn leaves make me sneeze. Autumn leaves in the air. Autumn leaves, I don't care.

Or something.

That's how I feel about autumn. Yes. it's really pretty with all the red and yellow leaves. The  brown ones too. They all look nice until the blow off in one of the many storms and form a nasty gunk on the ground, mixed with the odd pile of dog crap.

Yeah, autumn. When the days turn cold and dark. Not my favourite time of year, especially once the clocks change. If I was a bear or dormouse or suchlike I'd find a deep hole and sleep until March. April, even.

Then burst out amongst the daffodils and tulips and say, 'the light's back!'

Anyway, I'm not a bear or mouse so I'll have to do something else. Hide away or hang out in condensation filled pubs and cafes and drink loads of black coffee/strong ale until the sun returns. Hmm, that sounds like a plan. And I can build up lots of beer fat and no one will notice as I'll be wearing loads of winter layers.

So, Autumn fog on my hair, autumn fog everywhere. Autumn fog, sometimes mist, I'm off to get really pissed.
