It's grey and raining today. Showers and gusts.But another six months and it will be summer. Time for Cambridge Folk Festival. Already the tickets are on sale. And it's the fiftieth anniversary so it's bound to be a good one.
Not that they are ever disappointing. Last year's was great, as were the two previous ones. Even though I'm not a huge fan of folk, as such, the festival is fantastic. Much of the music could be classed as acoustic rock. Hillbilly music and world-music. The kind of thing that they used to do on the Glastonbury Jazz Stage.
So I'm off to scrape some money together. I'm going to buy a ticket for Cambridge Folk Festival and look forward to sitting on the grass in the sun.
Drinking beer and listening to good music.
